2024

Brindle Boxer Kombucha commissioned me to art direct and design the brand for its national market launch. An offshoot of the established Washington, D.C.–based Craft Kombucha, the new brand was positioned for a broader audience and required a distinct identity within an increasingly saturated category.

The objective was to maintain a connection to its bespoke roots while signaling a clear evolution—more sophisticated in tone, design, and market presence. As seen in the attached bottle and can system, the identity leans into restraint, clarity, and elevated materials rather than the familiar wellness-driven visual clichés that dominate the kombucha space.

The packaging system was designed to highlight the individuality of each flavor while maintaining a cohesive, premium framework. By understanding that today’s consumer is already fluent in what kombucha is, we were able to bypass introductory messaging and instead focus on originality, dynamism, and refined execution.

The result is a brand that positions kombucha not as a niche health product, but as a top-shelf, design-forward beverage—dry, sparkling, and confidently modern.
